It’s easy to stay busy, but still fail to make progress.

Failure can be its own busy-maker. We can get hung up on “I must do this” or “I must do that” and end up circling around the same old problem… for years.

Steven Covey illustrated the priority principle by filling a jug with sand, rocks of varying sizes, and water. He proved the importance of “putting the big rocks in first.”

Let’s consider our own schedules today, but not by focusing on what we plan to do. Let’s look at what’s actually going to get done.

Most of us want the same things in life: good relationships with others, financial peace of mind, meaning in life, and health to enjoy it all.

There are simple things we can do to secure those things. It’s not complicated.

But it can be really, really tough to stay on track.

Today is the day we can make sure the necessities aren’t overlooked. We can eat for strength, move our bodies, and be a friend to someone in need.

We can use money and love people … not the other way around.

But today is the only day we can live our priorities. Only today.
